Check in and Check Out
  • Check In is at 12h00 in time for lunch and then check into the rooms is from 14h00.

General Information:

Rates Include:

  • Luxury accommodation.
  • Safari activities: Two game drives per day with a professional guide.
  • All meals (Breakfast Lunch and/or High Tea and Dinner)
  • Coffee and tea before morning drive.
  • Snacks on the game drive.
  • Limited drinks package: coffee, tea and water available all day; a flask of water in the rooms, house wines and local spirits and beers on evening game drives; a glass of house wine at dinner.
  • Boma and bush dinners (weather permitted)
  • 250MB WiFi in the main lodge area per guest per stay.
  • Emergency medical evacuation insurance.
  • 1% tourism levy and 15% VAT.

Rates Exclude:

  • Transfers to/from the reserve.
  • Alternative activities such as the battlefield tours and fishing.
  • Curios, gratuities and telephone calls.
  • Bush walks.
  • Speciality coffees and teas, mini bar items and additional beverages ordered at the bar such as cellar wines and champagnes and all imported spirits and beers.
  • Private dinners/bush breakfasts at an additional charge.
  • Laundry service available at additional charge.
  • Reserve conservation levy per person per day.

Please take note:

  • Nambiti Plains is a malaria-free area
  • Recommended time of arrival is from 13:00 with check-in from 14:00. Rooms are vacated between 10:00am and 11:00am. Gates open at 06:00 and close at 18:00
  • When traveling take into account that game drives usually starts at 3:30pm on your day of arrival and that late arrivals could possibly miss the first game drive.
  • Lunch is usually served between 13h30 to 14h30, however late arrivals can still enjoy a small High Tea.
  • Extras to be settled upon departure at the Lodge and may be settled by cash, Master or Visa card only.
  • We do not accept Diners, American express, debit cards and cheques.
  • Please contact the Lodge when passing Ladysmith as to avoid a waiting period of 20 minutes upon arrival as the Lodge is situated a distance from the gate.
  • Guests will sign an indemnity form at the gate and all private vehicles will be parked at the undercover parking, from where the guide will collect the guests to the Lodge.

Payment and Reservation arrangements

Nambiti Plains requires a 50% deposit in order to secure a booking. Please note that we require additional information such as:

  • Rates are inclusive of 15% vat and subject to change without prior notice.

Cancellation Policy:
Cancellations must be made in writing and conditions of cancellation are as follows:

  • Less than 14 days prior to confirmed arrival date = 100% cancellation fee
  • 15 to 30 days prior to confirmed arrival date = 50% cancellation fee
  • 31 days and more prior to confirmed arrival date = loss of 20% deposit

We require written confirmation for all cancellations (email or fax).

NAMBITI PLAINS ROOMS and FACILITIES

The main lodge is imaginatively weaved and constructed, perched on the waterhole edge providing a fine line between luxury and the reality of the African wild.

Nambiti Plains is not fenced in and therefore animals will potentially move through the camp giving guests the opportunity to view them in their natural environment from the comfort of the decks.

Nambiti Plains consists of 7 Private Thatched Luxurious Suites; two sets of which can be booked as family suites (accommodate 4 people.) The Suites utilized as family units consist of one building, a common entrance leading to two separate and private rooms; a solid packed stone wall divides the two rooms. All suites have private verandas fitted with a table and two chairs as well as two sun loungers. Each suite come as an XL King but can also be accommodated as 2 ¾ size twin beds. We regret we cannot accommodate triple rooms.

Nambiti Plains is situated only 28km North of Ladysmith, roughly a 3.5-hour drive from Johannesburg and 2.5 hours from Durban.
Guests will sign an indemnity form at the gate and all private vehicles will be parked in the undercover parking, from where the guide will collect the guests to the Lodge.
