During the summer months, the dams and rivers are alive with a variety of Large‐Mouth Bass, Small‐Mouth Bass and Blue Gill.

The game drives cover the history of the Battle of Elandslaagte as this is located within the reserve. Recommended stay for the options below is a minimum 3 days ideally for full relaxation 4 days.

Join our well-qualified Battlefields guide as he brings you into the story of unfolding events that occurred in various battles ranging in dates from the 1879 Anglo- Zulu wars to the 1899-1902 Anglo Boer Wars. These are full day tours with lunch in between and a fountain of information. Please note that with these options you do miss 2 game drives.
- Star Gazing
- In the evening, while on safari, your guide will take the opportunity to discuss the night skies. The Milky Way is a phenomenal sight to behold on a clear night and the plethora of constellations such as Orion, Taurus the Bull, the Southern Cross, Scorpio and many others that will keep you in wonder.
- Romantic Packages
Spoil your loved one with this romantic package. Includes romantic turndown with bubble bath, a bottle of Method Cap Classique on ice, special snacks and a private dinner on your deck under the stars.
- Special Picnic
River / Bush picnic at the spectacular Sunday River Cascades. Includes open game viewer transfer through the reserve (helicopter rate on request), river picnic, private chef and/or host. In the summer months swimming in the river is a special treat. Recommended for stays of 3 nights or longer.
- Private Game Drive
Enjoy the bush at your own pace by reserving your own private game drive during your stay. Perfect for keen photographers and return guests. Recommended for 3 night stays or longer.
- Night Drive
Experience the sights and sounds of the bush at night. You will have the opportunity to see the more elusive nocturnal animals’ resident on the Nambiti Reserve such as porcupine, large spotted genet, jackal, aardvark and the ever-elusive leopard. Recommended for stays of 3 nights or longer.
- Daytrip Game Drives
Just haven’t got enough time to join us for 2 days or do you wish to do something different for the family? Take them on an awe‐inspiring Daytrip Game Drive on Nambiti Game Reserve.
The daytrip will run an average 3-4 hours and does include a stop off to stretch the legs and have a drink out in the bush.
Times are normally 6:00am for the morning drive and 3:30pm for an evening safari with guests required to be at the lodge 30min prior to departure. Time variations and group bookings can be arranged. Game drives are R500 per person for up to 4 people, and an additional charge of R4000 per private drive (5 to 9 people).
Breakfast or lunch at our lodge can be added to your booking – please enquire at our office. Booking is required; at least 4 days in advance.
Please note unfortunately private vehicles are not permitted to drive on the reserve and all daytrips must be arranged through the lodge.
